Actress Regina Cassandra, who had started her career with a bang with several hits like Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Managaram, Pilla Nuvu Leni Jeevitham to name a few, of late, had not been having any hits to her profile, as her recent releases had failed both in
tamil and Telugu.
The actress after attempting to prove herself in homely roles had turned to glamour as she oozed oomph in Krishnavamsi directorial
nakshatram, and then in
tamil in the
movie Mr. Chandramouli where she had sizzled sensuously in a two-piece bikini, only to see both the films failing.
Recently, the actress was seen in the Tamil/Telugu bilingual 7 which is directed by debutant Nizar Shafi, the popular cinematographer and Regina played a psychology student in the
movie about a
murder mystery and the film also stars Nandita Swetha, Tridha Chaudhary, and Anisha Ambrose. The actress now works on another
thriller titled as 'Irul' and the shooting for the
movie begins at Chennai. Regina is touted to play the role of a surgeon in the movie.
