The big-budget tamil flick Sangamitra Directed by sundar c and bankrolled by Thenandal studios limited was launched last year amidst huge hype and expectations, as they had announced that the movie will be bigger than SS Rajamouli's Baahubali series and will be made on a whopping budget of more than 250 crores.
The team also got a huge cast, with ravi -Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>jayam ravi and handsome hunk arya playing the heroes and the sensuous beauty, daughter of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, shruti hassan as the sizzling warrior princess, playing the title role Sangamitra. However, after being launched in the Cannes film festival, shruti hassan exited the project stating that she was not given the entire script and hence she could not continue.
However, the official announcement was made later that the bollywood bikini bombshell Disha Patani, known for her act in ms dhoni The Untold Story, has been roped in to play Sangamitra. The movie, however, hasn't progressed at all, as Thenandal studios faced huge losses in Mersal.
When asked about replacing shruti hassan, Disha said that she's nobody to replace shruti hassan and Shruthi is such a big actress whom she cannot be compared with.
