Story:

Completed in 2016, director gautham Vasudev Menon directorial Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta was supposed to release in early 2017, but the financial issues he had pushed the movie to postponements again and again and now finally the dhanush starrer has hit screens. Here's team ap Herald's exclusive first on net Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta review.

Raghu (Dhanush) falls for Actress Lekha (Megha Akash), and she reciprocates as well. As their love proceeds well, happy times end with the arrival of Senthil Veerasamy, who is against their love as well as has control over Lekha. Besides, he also has a conflict with Raghu's brother played by Sasikumar. What happened to Raghu, who was sasikumar and whether raghu was able to overcome the threats to his love and unite is what the movie is all about.

Performances:

dhanush is seen in two looks and he aces both the angles with his impressive performance and excels both in romance as well as intensely emotional and action episodes. megha akash as the vulnerable girl in love is apt, while sasikumar and Sunaina spring a surprise. The rest of the cast including Senthil Veerasamy is adequate.

Technicalities:

Darbuka Siva's background score is pulsating and soothing at the right places, and of his songs Maruvaarthai, Visiri is an absolute delight. Cinematography by jomon t john is top-notch while editing by Shangeeth Sathyanathan could have been taut.

Analysis:

Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta has released after a three years delay but gautham menon has made sure his screenplay is fairly engaging. Though it gets predictable at many places, dhanush holds your attention for most of the runtime with his intense act. The plot is pretty simple and the first half moves at a leisurely pace but the second half is completely engaging and offers several goosebumps moments, ultimately ending as a decent outing. With good music, stunning visuals and action, dhanush toils to give GVM a watchable entertainer.

Verdict: dhanush makes this predictable entertainer worth a watch
