Mallu beauty Anupama Parameswaran, though she had started off with the malayalam blockbuster premam, had established herself well in tollywood with movies like A Aa, premam and Shathamanam Bhavathi, but had later faced a minor career downfall with a hattrick of flops. The film had her playing a homely girl Maha, and her lovable character is shown to die in an accident in the movie. This created an emotional impact on the audience who loved the character, turning it a memorable outing for Anupama Parameswaran.

However, the cute beauty also reportedly listened to the story of a big director recently but rejected it just because her character was written to die in an accident. Anupama refused as she feared to get stereotyped in similar roles.
