Actress varalaxmi sarathkumar was last seen playing the evil antagonist in movies like Sandakozhi 2 and Sarkar and both the movies were huge disastrous outings so nothing big happened in her career. The world Badminton championships witnessed the indian badminton ace pv sindhu striking gold by defeating Japanese player Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 in a stunning finale that existed for a mere 38 minutes making sindhu the first indian to win World Championships gold.
Prior to this victory P V sindhu had never won the World Championships, as she had clinched bronze medals in 2013 and 2014, and silver medals in 2017 and 2018 and following this effort that helped her break her jinx, the champion player dedicated the win as a birthday gift to her mother.
