Director lokesh kanagaraj had made an impressive debut with Managaram released before three years and is now coming soon with his second movie Kaithi bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures and the movie which was a diwali release was a huge success and it became a blockbuster for Karthi. In fact, karthi himself announced that Dilli will be back for a sequel and the shooting will begin soon.
Kaithi featured karthi in the lead role and the movie had events happening in a night and will focus on a jailbreak in a single night. The movie costars Narain, Vatsan, Dheena, George and debutant arjun Das played the antagonist.
Lokesh kanagaraj in a recent interview has revealed that his initial plan was to cast yesteryear villain Mansoor ali Khan as the lead and later he improvised on the story and entered karthi into the movie. Kaithi featured music by sam CS. The director is currently busy shooting 'Vijay 64' and after that, he is likely to direct Rajini's last movie and then he will start the proceedings for 'Kaithi' sequel.
