Comali happened to be Jayam Ravi's 24th movie, and ravi had acted as a man who wakes up from coma after 16 years and how he makes an identity for himself.
Comali went on to collect more than 35 crores and turned out to be the second biggest hit in the career of Jayam ravi only next to Thani Oruvan. The movie was directed by debutant pradeep Ranganathan and also featured milky beauty kajal aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde, yogi Babu, and KS Ravikumar.
With the movie achieving unexpected success and with the movie minting huge money, Comali producer Isari Ganesh, Vels Film international gave a honda City car for pradeep as a gift. Now, with Kajal being the first choice for the hindi version, the actress gifted another car for the director. It must be noted that the remake rights of Comali have been acquired by Boney Kapoor.
