Superstar Rajnikanth had last appeared in the karthik Subbaraj directorial petta and has now tasted a huge success with his 167th movie darbar helmed by AR murugadoss and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, and extensively the team had been promoting the movie from all quarters.
Darbar features cinematography by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, who is back to work with Superstar decades after Thalapathi, and regularly posts about Rajnikanth's work and presence in the shoot and recently he posted a photo of Rajnikanth tweeting "The Mystery man in Darbar".
This increased the talks on whether Superstar Rajnikanth will be playing dual roles in darbar, and now with the movie released it's confirmed that he is doing single role.
