Promising hero karthi was back on screens for the second time in 2019 with Kaithi helmed by lokesh kanagaraj and bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures the movie co-stars Narain, Vatsan, arjun Das and the movie was a huge success at the Box-Office. Even though he had 'Thambi' released up next, the success of 'Kaithi' was the talking point.
Meanwhile, karthi is also gearing up for his next movie, the high budget extravaganza, the magnum opus ponniyin selvan helmed by ace director Maniratnam and as per reports karthi is set to don the role of Vanthiyadevan and is growing hair for the same.
The latest buzz is that after wrapping works of Maniratnam's ponniyin selvan most probably by the end of 2020, karthi is set to join hands with writer and director Raju Murugan for a project. Raju Murugan already wrapped Jiiva starrer Gypsy and will be penning this script. Recently, Karthi was questioned about Suriya, for which he said he is preparing for his next movie with Hari, and thus confirmed speculations that Suriya 39 will be indeed helmed by Hari, joining forces post the 2017 movie Singam 3.
