The massive accident on the sets of shankar directed kamal haasan and kajal aggarwal starrer ‘Indian 2’ aka ‘Bharateeyudu 2’ has sent shockwaves in the indian film industry. It raised concerns about the lack of safety measures on the movie sets. The mishap left three technicians including an assistant director dead and ten injured.
Both kamal haasan and kajal aggarwal were shooting for a key scene in the film in Chennai. In a split of 10 seconds, they escaped from being crushed under the crane. On the other side, Kamal had come to the rescue of the families who lost their lives. He announced One Crore for the families of the three technicians who lost their lives in the tragic accident.
The deceased were identified as assistant director Krishna (rumored to be close to Shankar), art assistant chandran and production assistant Madhu. Nazarathpet police have filed a case and are investigating the cause of the accident. There are allegations that the accident occurred due to the negligence of the movie unit as they did not take proper safety measures. The entire indian cinema is shocked by this development.
