Legendary actor, director, and producer, the multi-talented Padmashree Ulaga Nayagan kamal haasan had launched the historical movie Marudhanayagam way back in 1997, in the presence of queen Elizabeth and the then chief minister M karunanidhi in a grand manner.
However, after shooting a major part of the movie, the film was shelved due to budget issues and a lot of troubles, and still the dream project of kamal haasan remains incomplete and is expected by fans heavily. Recently he had opened up on the movie saying it will be made definitely.
However he had said that he won't act in it, and now the rumors are making rounds that Chiyaan vikram might play the lead role in the revived version of Marudhanayagam and Raajkamal Films will produce it, as they recently bankrolled vikram starrer Kadaram Kondaan. Ulaganayagan kamal haasan was last seen on screen in the disastrous outing Vishwaroopam 2, the sequel to his 2013 blockbuster movie Vishwaroopam, costarring pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, and rahul bose, and he is all gearing up for his next biggie.
