Actor Sibiraj's next movie Walter was formally started before few days helmed by debutant Anbarasan and bankrolled by prabhu Thilak. Planned to be shot in kumbakonam the movie has sibiraj as a cop and samuthirakani and shirin Kanchwala in key roles.
In just days post-launch a producer Singaravelan issued warning for using the title and story which he owns rights and threatened to take legal action if the team continues to take the movie with the same title and story, under copyrights act. Actor sibiraj was last seen on screen in a rugged look in Sathya, the tamil remake of tollywood thriller hit kshanam and this tamil version was helmed by pradeep Krishnamurthy and became a commercial success.
It must be noted that Singaravelan in his Madhukkur movies launched Walter with same maker Anbarasan starring Vikram prabhu, arjun, and jackie shroff and following the delay in take-off, the director moved on to another producer and that has become a huge issue now. Let's see how he comes out of this mess.
