After starting the year with the successful karthik Subbaraj directorial petta, Superstar Rajnikanth recently wrapped his 167th movie darbar and the movie has been receiving criticism for being a copy of old songs and movie scenes.
With darbar song being trolled mercilessly by meme pages on social media, now Sandalwood star rakshit shetty whose next release avane srimannarayana earlier released in five languages including tamil on december 27 last year and he has opened up that he was supposed to act in Darbar.
rakshit shetty expressed disappointment that as he was occupied with the works of the biggie avane srimannarayana he was unable to immediately accept the role in darbar and has requested Rajnikanth to give him a role in his next movie. darbar released on pongal and ended as a disaster. Superstar rajinikanth had last appeared on screen in the karthik Subbaraj directorial revenge thriller petta and then he joined hands with AR murugadoss directorial darbar which ended as a flop. Now, he works on his next project which is bankrolled by sun Pictures and had announced a diwali release.
