To commemorate his death, State Government is planning to build a ghat in his memory and make it a tourist place. Also a road is being planned on ANR's name. A new road will be laid from Banjara Hills Road No.2 to Jubilee Hills road No.5. The road will pass in front of Annapurna Studios and will be named after ANR. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy had already signed on the file clearing this road and the road works will begin very soon. The road will be inaugurated on September 20th - The Jayanthi of ANR. It is known that ANR breathed his last on January 22nd following a cardiac arrest. He is battling intestinal cancer.
