Ranbir Kapoor made his big bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. The actor in no time garnered the ‘lover boy’ tag, and clearly there was no looking back. Amid the global crisis and the untimely demise of our bollywood legends, irrfan khan and rishi kapoor, we have a good news! Our all-time favourite romantic pair, RK & deepika padukone may just be coming together. If recent reports are to be believed, sanjay leela bhansali has approached his two favourites ranbir kapoor and deepika padukone for 1952 film, Baiju Bawra remake. The duo has always been amongst the most wanted pair on-screen and SLB is now willing to move on from his usual DP-Ranveer Singh pairing post Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat and ram Leela. 

Revealing all about it, a source close to bollywood Hungama revealed, “Ranbir and deepika make a pair to reckon with on screen and Bhansali wants to create magic on screen with the two actors. Talks are on, however neither of the two have signed the dotted lines yet,” adding that the idea is to move away from the conventional pairing for ranveer singh and deepika Padukone. He will work with Ranveer again in the future, but he doesn’t want to repeat the pairing of the real life couple for the fourth consecutive time,” adds the source.

We have previously witnessed the pair deliver successes in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Tamasha (which may not be a box office hit, but remained critically acclaim) and Bachna Ae Haseeno. However, with the lockdown coming into the picture, every actor will be facing consequences in terms of their schedules. Regarding the same, the source revealed “These are all early talks, which started before the lockdown, but with the entire calendar of actors going for a toss, it would be interesting to see how things shape up. Though Ranbir and deepika will make for a formidable pair in a Bhansali film.”Previously it was Luv Ranjan’s next that was being said to be ranbir kapoor & deepika Padukone’s upcoming collab. But the reports eventually turned out false.
