Reportedly even before the release of Thalapathy Vijay's 64th film, master, reports about his 65th are already doing rounds on the internet. Acclaimed-filmmaker AR murugadoss is likely to direct the actor's upcoming film, which is nothing but the sequel of their 2012 blockbuster flick, Thuppakki. The latest buzz in the industry is that popular composer S Thaman, who is basking on the success of his latest telugu films - ala vaikunthapurramloo and disco raja, is all set to score tunes for vijay in Thuppakki 2.
Both murugadoss and vijay were quite impressed with Thaman's recent projects and decided to rope him in for the film. In 2017, there were reports that Thaman and vijay might come together for a film directed by Atlee. However, later, it was denied as rumours. If this happens, then it will be Thaman's first film with Vijay. Sources say that sun Pictures, which has earlier produced Vijay's Sarkar, will bankroll the film. According to reports, kajal aggarwal, who played the female lead in Thuppakki, has been roped in for this project as well.
The shoot is likely to begin in august, post the novel coronavirus crisis. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made soon.
Vijay and Murugadoss's last three collaborations Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar have been major box office hits. Cinematographer Santosh Shivan recently posted a screenshot from Thuppaki and hinted about the sequel as well. Meanwhile, murugadoss will also bankroll a web series that will feature vani Bhojan of Oh My Kadavulae fame in the lead role.
