Days back there were speculations making rounds that Makkal Selvan vijay sethupathi might be soon signing a movie which will have him playing the former legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan and that this movie might be announced soon.
Now it has been revealed that this buzz is true and vijay sethupathi will be acting in the biopic of Muralitharan and will undergo extensive training for the movie. This movie will be bankrolled by DAR Motion pictures, the bollywood production house behind movies like The Lunchbox and D-Day to name a few.
It has been said that a south Indian production house will collaborate as well in bankrolling the movie, and Muralitharan has reportedly said that he is extremely happy that an accomplished actor like ijay sethupathi is playing him in his biopic. This movie, expected to be titled as 800 after Muralitharan's 800 wickets record, will release in 2021.
