Reports are emerging that Leading OTT Platform, Hotstar-Disney has rented ramoji film city for three years. RFC, one of the biggest studios in the country will be exclusively making the content of the OTT Platform. Hotstar-Disney may also rent the studio for others if needed.
This may put telugu films at disadvantage as they will no longer have the easy access to RFC as previously. This development has come as a shock to several filmmakers who are looking at ramoji film city for their film shoots. "The advantage of RFC is that it is on the outskirts. There are no coronavirus hotspots there. There is no influx of outsiders. The cast and crew can stay there throughout the schedule. So this announcement will upset many filmmakers," a source said. The financial aspects of the deal are not revealed but ramoji rao for sure may have got a huge amount in hand with this.
