Actor Suriya had last acted in the disastrous action thriller Kaappaan directed by KV anand following which he is all set to be seen on screen in the sudha Kongara directorial soorarai pottru, which happens to be the biopic of air Deccan founder GR Gopinath slated to release later this year.
Following the release of soorarai pottru, Suriya will begin his 39th movie reuniting with mass director hari after successful collaborations like Aaru, Vel, Singam 1, Singam 2, and Si 3 and this new movie is touted to be a mass entertainer in a rural backdrop.
After speculations that malavika mohanan might be the female lead of Suriya 39, it has been confirmed that raashi khanna will be the female lead role. The movie will be helmed by hari and the buzz is that prasanna might be the antagonist of this movie. Recently it was said that prasanna was one of the choices to be the antagonist in Thala ajith starrer Valimai. However, prasanna is completely tight-lipped about his antagonist role so far.
