It's a known fact that Lady Superstar Nayanthara's real name is Diana Mariam Kurien, and she had been introduced in films by malayalam director sathyan Anthikkad in his movie Manasinakkare and in tamil she had made her debut with the hari directed Ayya starring Sarathkumar.
Now two directors in the malayalam industry are having a conflict over Nayanthara. A few days back, director john Ditto had posted on facebook that when he was working with director AK Sajan, still photographer swaminathan visited the sets and he informed that sathyan Anthikkad is looking for a name for his debutant heroine.
Ditto has mentioned that it was himself and Sajan who suggested the name Nayanthara and later Nayanthara acted in AK Sajan's Puthiya Niyamam after years. However, director sathyan Anthikkad has refused his claim and said that during the shoot of Manasinakkare, he and Ranjan Pramod made a list of names from which Nayanthara herself chose her screen name and that he does not even know who john Ditto is. However, so far the actress has kept a muted response in this regard.
