thalaivi happens to be the biopic of former chief minister of tamil Nadu and yesteryear actress jayalalithaa with Arvind Swami playing another former chief minister mgr and it was already announced officially that thalaivi will release worldwide on june 26 of next year.
kangana ranaut said that if thalaivi works at the box office, she has asked AL vijay to direct a movie about Kannagi. kangana called Kannagi a strong woman and that she will do the epic drama of Kannagi in tamil adding that she got to know about Kannagi from scriptwriter Vijayendra Prasad. Earlier, during 'Baahubali' time itself, there were reports that ramya krishnan will be essaying the role of Kannagi and already talks were going on with Vijayendra Prasad. But that never happened as ramya krishnan was completely busy with other movies and she was totally equipped with new ventures. Then kangana has grabbed it.
