The fierecely contested Movie Artists Association elections results are out. Rajendra Prasad won the President election on his nearest rival, Jayasudha by 85 votes majority. Rajendra Prasad had got 237 votes while Jayasudha got 152 votes. Rajendra Prasad is supported by Nagababu while Jayasudha is supported by Dasari Narayana Rao and the outgoing president, Murali Mohan.
The counting of MAA elections finally took place today after the City Civil Court gave its nod. 396 members have exercised their voting in the election of 702 members. The counting of the votes in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) began a short while ago at Telugu Film Producers Council conference hall.
In order to avoid any controversies, media is allowed at the counting site and all the counting proceedings are captured on video. Here is the details of winning candidates:
