After delivering back to back disasters with Krishnarjuna Yuddham and Devdas, natural star Nani is back this time teaming with Malli Raava fame Gautam Tinnanuri for Jersey costarring Shraddha Srinath. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Jersey review.
Nani delivers an impressive Performance and in both cricket and emotional episodes he's fitting perfectly with his matured performance. Shraddha Srinath is beautiful and performs very well on debut with perfect lip sync and expressions. Sathyaraj is good as the coach and the rest of the cast including Sampath are adequate. After a long time, Nani proves why he is given the title 'Natural Star'. He emotes flawlessly and does carry the movie whole time. Shraddha Srinath has done justice to her role and her transformation as a housewife and carrying the burdens as a mother and a working woman was too good.
Anirudh gives a terrific BGM and of songs padhe padhe, prapa Chanel ala and adhentogaani are impressive. Sanu Varghese cinematography is top notch while Naveen nooli editing is taut. 1980s 90s ambiance has been meticulously designed. Sets, characters and costumes are authentic. The writing is simple without any surprises to the script, but it is filled with emotions and at this point, Director Gowtam stands out of the crowd. The way he executed his script is also brilliant.
Director Gautam Tinnanuri after his breezy love story Malli raava is back this time with cricket and love intertwined in a perfect screenplay in Jersey. Nani delivers a mature person beautifully complemented by Shraddha Srinath who's a revelation and Sathyaraj provides a neat supporting act. Though the movie progresses at a leisurely pace initially, it gets emotionally connected with Nani in peak form with his performances. The emotional and heartwarming climax lifts the movie to a whole new level. With Lovely performances, stunning music and cinematography, and an engaging screenplay, Jersey is a must watch from Gautam Tinnanuri and team.
