'Bajirao Mastani' is Visionary director Bhansali's dream project. The movie is directed and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra did female lead roles along with the titular protagonist Ranveer Singh. No wonder Bhansali crafted this movie for  years. Sanjay Leela bhansali himself has scored music and Sanchit Balhara handled the background music. Technical team features Sudeep Chatterji for cinematography and Rajesh.G.Pandaey as editor. Rest of the cast includes Tanvi Azhmi, Vaibav Tatwawdi, Milind Soman, Ayush Tandon and Sanjay Mishra. The movie speaks something out of the history book. Nothing is out of the context. No history book teaches about the romantic side of the warriors. Hats off to Bhansali for getting the facts right. The movie is about Maratha Warrior Bajirao Ballal Bhat who fought 40 battles and won each one of them. He tried to create one state under Hindu. But his wife Mastani is a Muslim woman. She is daughter of the Chhatrasal (king) of Bundelkhand. The movie is about, how Bajirao fights two battles and taste victory. On one hand he fights for his family to bring honour and on another hand he fights for his country.

Coming to performances the lead actors Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra did exceptionally well. There are no words to praise their dedication. No wonder Deepika never signed her next project. She has to wait patiently to get another such role. Tanvi was brilliant as Bajirao's mom. Mahesh Manjrekar as Chhatrasal Shahu, Vaibhav Tatwawdi as Bajirao’s brother Chimaji and Milind Soman as Bajirao’s friend and advisor were just phenomenal. Piggy chops appeared on the screen for a low time. But still she delivered a life time performance. But in the end, the man who scores was Ranveer Singh. Be it war scenes, or romantic scenes, he has delivered his best ever. There are no words to showcase our love. The scene where he slashes enemy with a belt like sword is outstanding.

Just WOW ! Nothing else. The movie is a visual extravaganza. First of all all credits goes to Costume designer Anju Modi. She brings out the elegance of Mastani. She brings out the fierce in Bajirao. The jewels were designed by the 226-year-old Delhi-based jewellers Shri Hari Diagems. Hats off to them. The battle scenes as always used CGI. Cinematography deserves mention as the frame and angles are spectacular. It never gives a feel that we are watching sets. It gives a realistic feel. The best scene which will be talked for a long time is Bajirao’s coronation scene. Songs are an important aspect. Pinga never blended with story line. Albela Sajan is the most beautifully shot song in the movie.

Despite all these goodies, the movie falls falt at places. Most people are confused that whether this is a romantic movie or historic movie. The movie also moves at a slow pace. This will test patience. And as the second half comes, there is a rush. After watching the epic 'Baahubali', we feel the visual effects are also not that grand. But still we can appreciate the movie for Bhansali's efforts and the lead actor's dedication. All we can say is 'Dilwale' is having the momentum right now.
