EverythingEverythingNothing Really

Chandrakumar @ 'Auto Chandran' has wrote a novel with respect to the brutality he suffered in a police lock-up in Andhra Pradesh. And now after 9 years the story has been made as a movie. Due to family conflicts he ran away from home and he travelled to lots of places. He started working as a hotel server  and in an unexpected turn of events he was detained by police for 13 days for a crime which he never committed. The horrifying 13-day experience was written as a novel and now it has been portrayed as a movie. Vetrimaaran already said he reduced the violence for theatrical version as censors cropped more scenes. The movie will definitely leave an impact on each one of us. It will leave a scar and will show the brutality of the police.

Dinesh literally becomes the character. After 'Cuckoo' he has delivered a life time performance. Way to go Dinesh ! You still have lots of way to go. Take a bow young man. Anandhi fits the bill perfectly. Ajay Ghosh as ruthless inspector shocks everyone. He appears completely in first half of the movie. Samuthirakani's body language is also perfect as an inspector. 'Aadukalam' Ramdoss, Kishore, Pradessh Raj did justice to their roles. Each and every actor has delivered their best performance.

Vetrimaaran struggled a lot to make this movie and now he has made an epic blockbuster which is a definite treatment of the man's life. The movie was clearly brilliant. It is not easy to make an experimental movie. Credits to Editor Late.Te.Kishore who has made some perfect editing. The running time was just 106 minutes. GV Prakash's soul stirring BGM also made the clock ticking. Ramalingam's camera showed the darkness and the brutality. In short, 'Picture perfect'. M.Chandrakumar's novel can't get better justice. Thankfully, LYCA Productions grabbed the distribution rights. The promotions are done in an extensive manner.

The movie is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But this movie will for sure will leave an impact. A good supporting cast helps, but this is definitely Vetrimaaran's one man show. His ability to make a bold and raw stunner deserves all these praises and accolades. One of the hard hitting Tamil movie which one needs to see with lots of pain. The director never made any compromise and that itself was a big plus.

Dinesh,Anandhi,Aadukalam Murugadoss,Samuthirakani,Vetrimaaran,Dhanush Vetrimaaran,G. V. Prakash Kumar. The movie is a fine narration of relevant true stories with a gripping screenplay !
