Vijay Sethupathi, Screenplay, HumourVijay Sethupathi, Screenplay, HumourMadona Sebastien, Complete copy of Korean Movie

'Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum' is a romantic comedy and the expectations are high as it brings Nalan Kumarasamy back into Kollywood after a long time. After direting 'Soodhu Kavvum' and tasted a huge success, he is back. Vijay Sethupathi is back from his cop to routine 'Wannabe Rowdy' character. The movie is an Official remake of Korean film My Dear Desperado. The movie begins with Madona leaving her town after getting a job in an IT company. But as the company goes bust, she also goes unemployed. However her prestige and ego stops her from going back to home. She immediately moves to small apartment in a low class area where she meets Vijay Sethupathi and he calls himself as a gangster ! Remembering 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' ? Vijay Sethupathi helps Madona in getting a job and at one stage one of them calls her to share bed and Vijay Sethupathi beats him and ends up in jail. Due to this, Madona gets with him intimate. Slowly both of them fall into a relationship and they develop the relationship. But they part their ways and there is a surprise twist to the tale by the climax. To know it, you gotta watch the movie on Silver screen.

Vijay Sethupathi is just getting better and better with each movie. The actor never gets old with new roles. His body language and dialogue delivery style deserves special mention. The way he emotes is also attractive. Way to go Vijay Sethupathi. You just nailed it again. Madona Sebastien is a new face to Tamil cinema. But she is already famous for her 'Red Velvet' cake in Premam. She is pretty. But she still needs to mature as an actress. She finds it hard to cope up with a talented artiste like Vijay Sethupathi. Samuthirakani as usual does his best and the rest of the supporting roles did justice to their roles.

Can't believe why Nalan Kumaramsamy has opted for the remake ! Of course there are no flaws, but each and every scene is clearly a copy of that Korean movie. In fact credits should be given to Kim Kwang Sik for making 'My Dear Desperado'. Dinesh Krishnan's cinematography was also attractive. Each frame is vibrant and brilliant. Colours are also kept vivid. Leo John Paul's editing is crisp and keeps the running time to check. Santosh Narayanan's music is average. Songs are not catchy on first hearing. However he has created waves in background score. Production values are low and it is obvious in few sets.

This movie is neither a romantic movie nor a comedy movie. It is a more matured movie. In short it is an independent film. The movie clearly says about modern day effects. There is no artificial approach. There is nothing new and unpredictable. But still this will leave a positive impact on you. And this movie is also not a tear jerker.
