The movie's story of a man trying to right many wrongs and it is set against the backdrop of the icy mountains, Shivaay (Ajay) is living what seems like an ordinary life by helping the army in lost and found missions, trekking with tourists. Shivaay and Olga were in love and they had a daughter named Gaura who was mute by birth. His daughter was kidnapped and Ajay safeguards his daughter without a villain and the climax was amazing.
Ajay's bare chested short in the opening scene was classy and the actor with his daughter was emotional and touching. The biggest flaw is that the Ajay has directed and acted in the movie. The songs are melodious to hear and has captured hearts of many. Shivaay has grabbed the headlines for two reasons and firstly since the actor was directing his dream project himself and secondly for it’s breathtaking visuals and high octane action sequences. Erika Kaar and Gaura have acted in a classy and realistic way.
Shivaay’s world turns upside down when Gaura discovers a letter left by Olga describing how she abandoned her daughter after birth. There is no villain, rather there are masked men who Shivaay has to fight to reach to the one who is responsible for his daughters kidnapping and the stunt scenes are outstanding. The cinematography work is appreciatable and the editing part was also done greatly. The snowy mountain scenes was taken very realistically and has taken us to the beautiful places in the world.
Aseem Bajaj who helms the cinematography departments has made sure the film looks big and every frame even when there are no mountains is full of drama and colour. Erika Kaar has done a great job and she will attract many by her immense acting style.The second half has lengthy scenes which will definitely be boring. The action scenes are awesome and the father and daughter relationship is shown excellently. The movie's fight scenes was taken phenomenally and the movie is one of the best action oriented movie of this year. The movie can be given three stars out of five.
