Velayilla Pattadhaari 2 movie which was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth revolves around the relationship between a rising young architect Raguvaran and Vasundra who is the boss of a top construction company and Dhanush turns down a job offer in her company and Kajol takes it personally and plans to end his career totally. How Dhanush deals with her and what happens in the end to his career as now he is a family man with more responsibilities?
Dhanush and Amala Paul’s chemistry had worked very well in the movie like that of first part. Bollywood actress Kajol after a comeback of twenty had made her entry through this movie in Tamil in pivotal roles. Raiza Wilson had performed her task very well as Kajol’s PA. Saranya Ponvannan , Samutirakani, Ritu Varma, Vivek, Hrishikesh and Meera Krishnan have done a decent performance in the movie. Dhanush had acted more stylishly as an architect and his pair Amala Paul had also acted excellently.
Sean Roldon had scored the music and it is not as good as expected. Anirudh had scored music in the first part and in the second part the music is not satisfactory. Sameer Thahir had looked after the cinematography work amazingly well and editing part was played by GK Prasanna which is made perfectly. Soundarya Rajinikanth’s direction is made well and the technical aspects are made to the satisfaction of many except the music. Dhanush had written lyrics for three songs.
Many scenes are repeated from the first part and so few scenes are not so interesting. Kajol’s performance in taking vengeance against Dhanush is made exclusively neat and good. The movie’s trailer had received positive accolades from many. Dhanush as young and energetic architect had covered his fans in a great way. In fact the movie can be watched by all as Dhanush’s performance is the highlight in the movie
