After back to back failures, and even his last flick Kathalo Rajakumari failing bigtime, Nara Rohit has all his hopes on this action-packed masala entertainer Balakrishnudu that has released today. Has Balakrishnudu rescued him out of his flop streak? Let's see in this exclusive first on the net review of Balakrishnudu by team AP Herald.

The film is all about Balakrishnudu aka Balu (Nara Rohit) and his craze for money that leads him to troubles in his life and love with Aadhya (Regina Cassandra). He gets into a quarrel with Ravinder Reddy (Ajay). How he wins both love and money is what Balakrishnudu is all about.

Nara Rohit is, as usual, the typical stone face, as none of his expressions works, and be it love sequences or action sequences, he keeps the same straight face, and his dialogue delivery too has become even worse than his recent flicks. Regina Cassandra plays the typical eye-candy to perfection, as she appears in skimpy outfits, romances Nara Rohit, appears in songs in even smaller costumes and gives the audience a royal glam feast. It's disappointing to see a veteran like  Ramya Krishnan being wasted in such an insignificant, cliched role after a film like Baahubali. Ajay plays the typical stereotype villain without much fuss and is another role which is poorly etched.

Mani Sharma has worked with Nara Rohit for the 3rd time after SoLo and Banam and none of his tunes are impressive. Even the background score and re-recording are loud and jarring. Vijay Kumar's Cinematography is adequate. Debutant Pawan mallela has come up with a plot as old as hills and has loaded it with cliched elements like pointless romance, faction, and poor sings.  Besides a poor screenplay with uninteresting boring humor and sequences.

Pawan hasn't even cared to look into the performances of the lead actors as Nara Rohit performs pathetically while Regina just comes, prances in skimpy attires and romances him. Wasting an artist like Ramya Krishnan is the biggest crime, and for that single reason itself, Balakrishnudu deserves a miss at the theatres. All said, Balakrishnudu is a disastrous don't watch a flick, adding to the amazing list of flops from Nara Rohit.
