After few disastrous outings like the big budget entertainer Kandasamy with Chiyaan Vikram and his hindi debut with Shortcut Romeo, the remake of his very own Tamil hit Thiruttu Payale, director Susi Ganesan is back to deliver an erotic crime thriller with the Sensuous beauty Amala Paul to carry the film on her glamorous shoulders.

Has the director managed to deliver a success this time? Bobby Simha and Amala Paul are husband and wife and Simha works in Intelligence department and he is assigned the duty of Eavesdropping. At one stage, he finds his wife is having an affair with a Facebook friend. But later he finds that Facebook friend has trapped her and then he faces him off. What happens next is a cat and mouse game between the two?

The film is totally powered by the sizzling screen presence of Amala Paul. As the innocent girl full of love and lust, the dusky Beauty impresses, and sets the screen on fire, as she oozes oomph in almost every scene she appears, Besides also emoting beautifully, displaying amazing Acting prowess.

Prasanna is impressive with his menacing acts and cunning looks and proves that he's one amazing actor who's totally underutilized. Bobby Simha, who starts of a sweet and innocent character, slowly displays his crooked and murderous side and is perfectly cast. The rest of the cast including the director himself fades out in comparison to the lead trio.

After a while, Vidyasagar makes a comeback to Tamil cinema, and this time around he scores yet another hit with his stunning BGM and hum-worthy numbers like Nee Paarkum and Neenda Naal. Chelladurai's Cinematography captures the dark side of the lives of people while being in sync with the dark theme of Thiruttu Payale 2. Raja Mohammed's taut editing makes Thiruttu Payale 2 an engaging experience.

While he was all set to become one of the most wanted directors of Kollywood with his big-budget vigilant flick Kandasamy with Vikram, Susi Ganesan flunked with poor execution and followed it up with a pathetic remake of his very own Thiruttu Payale in Hindi. 11 years after Thiruttu Payale's release, Susi returns with a namesake sequel to his 2006 hit. This time around, Susi has dealt with invasion of privacy and the impact of lust on people, with the help of his 3 principal characters.

Director Susi ganesan has cleverly capitalized on the bold and beautiful Amala Paul's dare to bare act, he has also utilized the dusky Beauty's acting performance. While her hot screen presence towers over the rest, Prasanna and Bobby fight it out to prove their mettle, as normal men infected with lust and greed.

Technically, Thiruttu Payale 2 is a rich flick, with perfect visuals and slick packaging. Susi could have avoided several drags in the second half, in this otherwise engaging erotic thriller. All said this Thiruttu Payale 2 is a fine thriller that deserves a watch for, it's not just about sleaze, but delivers a much needed social message too.
