After scoring a decent success with his dual role flick Irumugan, Chiyaan Vikram has joined hands with Director Vijay Chandar who had previously directed the Simbu starrer Vaalu, which faced huge delays which attributed to the failure of the movie which could have worked, with a timely release. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on the net review of Sketch.

Durai is a gangster and he loses his hand in a mishap and he uses Sketch to seize vehicles for a moneylender. One day Sketch while seizing meets Amu and falls in love with her. Amu knows that he's a gangster and still falls for him as he is good by haert. At the same time, Royapuram Kumar plans a Kidnapping but his plans gets spoiled as Sketch seizes his car. This leads to a clash between Kumar and Sketch gang. What happened next? Who wins finally? is narrated in a commercial manner and watch it on the big screen.

Chiyaan Vikram is at his best as the cool gangster with a heart of gold, and his rough and tough looks are reminiscent of his Bheema days and his act is as always enticing. Tamannaah has been given a tremendous image makeover with simple looks of a girl next door and clad classy in sarees, and with her subdued act, appeals. RK Suresh and Ravi Kishan are at their menacing best and impress with their stunning Villainy. The rest of the cast including Vela Ramamoorthy and Radharavi is just adequate.

Thaman's backgrounds score is powerful and elevates most of the sequences to massy levels and ups the heroism element very well. His Dhadikara, Cheeni Chillale songs are hum-worthy. Sukumar's Cinematography captures the raw nature and milieu of Sketch's livelihood and presents the songs aesthetically.

Vijay chandar, after a mediocre start to his career with the lackluster Vaalu that failed primarily due to the huge delays, has this time joined hands with Chiyaan Vikram for Sketch, a mass entertainer of good vs evil. Vikram excels as the likable Gangster, and carries the whole movie on his shoulders with his mass screen presence, reminding one of his Prime days of Dhool and Saamy when Vikram was touted to be the next superstar in making.
The first half moves at a brisk pace, while the second is double the pace, with some exciting twists. Ably supported by Thaman's BGM and With an interesting screenplay despite a predictable plot and with perfectly placed mass scenes elevating heroism, Sketch is a decent entertainer, that's sure to give Vikram that much needed commercial success.
