Young hero Raj Tarun has been a part of commercially successful youth entertainers, and had last delivered two fairly successful flicks at box office, namely Kittu unnadu Jagratha and Andhagadu. Now he's back on screen with the love story Rangula Ratnam. Can he score a hat-trick? Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Rangula Ratnam review.


Raj Tarun is a happy go lucky guy who falls for the pretty Chitra Shukla, and tries hard to finally make her fall in love. But situations lead to troubles in their love, as Chitra has a backstory and impacts their love, besides her extreme possessiveness also irritating Raj Tarun as the couple decide to break up. Will the lead couple reunite or end their love is what rangula Ratnam is all about.
Raj Tarun is his usual self, and impresses as the happy go lucky youngster in love, and displays emotions perfectly. Debutant Chitra Shukla is an interesting find, and she plays the female lead to perfection, with her neat lip sync and getting expressions right. Priyadarshi gets an opportunity to impress as the solo comedian, and he scores bigtime with his hilarious one liners. The rest of the supporting cast including sithara are adequate.
Sricharan Pakala's background score is breezy, and of his songs, Yemaindhi, Enno Enno are good. Vijay's Cinematography is good, capturing the middle class lifestyle of the hero and his environment, and the romantic numbers with beautiful montage shots. Crisp editing by Sreekar Prasad makes the movie a fairly engaging experience. Debutant director Shreeranjani has come up with a breezy love story on debut, and scores with her simple and beautiful love sequences. She has been helped by natural Performances of Raj Tarun and Chitra Shukla.

Besides also by the impressive support cast lead by veteran Sithara. While the first half moves at it's own pace trying to establish the characters and their love story, the second half gets little pace, with some interesting sequences and twists, and keeps the audience engaged. With a fairly engaging Romantic script, good comedy by Priyadarshi and nice songs, Debutant Shreeranjani has come up with a watchable entertainer on debut, backed by King Nagarjuna.
