Mohan Babu proves his caliber as a veteran of numerous films, and brings considerable variation between his two roles with multiple shades, and excels both as the evil antagonist and the do-gooder. Shriya Saran in a short and emotionally impacting role, makes her presence felt with the adequate emotional quotient. Nikhila Vimal is impressive as the girl in distress and delivers a fine performance. Manchu Vishnu and Anasuya are adequate, while the rest of the cast including Posani are underutilized.
BGM by Thaman is good, while of his songs, except Jai Hanuman and oka Nuvvu oka Nenu, none of the song's appeal. Sarvesh Murari captures the mood of the film perfectly with the stunt sequences and violent shots captured in all its glory. Editing by Varma is a big letdown. Director Madan Ramigani has got the talented and experienced artist like veteran Mohan Babu on board, and that itself is a major boost for any maker, and he has also got a huge star cast including Shriya Saran to support him, but he has faltered with his making.
In his attempt to deliver a message-oriented entertainer with a good vs evil angle, he has spent more time on the evil side and fails to establish the credibility of the good, and in the process also delivers a screenplay with predictable scenes and cliched dialogues. With songs placed at atrocious points in the already dragged screenplay, Gayatri, despite having the solid screen presence of Mohan Babu, ends as a big letdown.
