Character artist and comedian Srinivas Reddy, who had earlier played main roles in movies like Geetanjali, Anando Brahma, and Jayam Nischayamura, returns to play the lead role in the comic entertainer with a supernatural angle, Jamba Lakidi Pamba, With the lack of new releases and biggies, can Srinivasa Reddy get a winner? Here's team AP Herald's first on net Jamba Lakidi Pamba review.

Varun (Srinivasa Reddy), a software engineer and Pallavi (Siddhi Idnani), a fashion designer are a married couple, and with the growing misunderstandings between them in married life, they decide to part ways and meet the lawyer Hari(Posani). However, unfortunately, Hari dies, but he returns to earth from heaven to complete the mission of uniting Varun and Pallavi. Hari plans to unite them by swapping the souls of Varun and Pallavi, and whether his plan worked or failed is what Jamba Lakidi Pamba is all about.

Srinivasa Reddy as the software engineer looks out of place for the most part, while his comic antics provide laughs at very few places. However, he regains some form when the soul swap happens and he has to play Pallavi. Siddhi Idnani as Pallavi tries hard to emote but ends up hamming, with poor lip sync. Posani annoys with his overacting, and in the name of humorous body language involves in irritating antics. Vennela Kishore has been wasted, while the rest of the cast has nothing much to do.

Music by Gopi Sundar is unimpressive, as he looks a pale shadow of what he had given in films like Ninnukori and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. His background score is loud, while none of his songs work. Cinematography by Satish Muthyala is tiring, as the scenes are shot without clarity, and end up an eyesore. Director Murali Krishna has chosen an interesting and tried and tested, proven plot of soul swapping, and has deployed it in the premise of a fighting husband and wife, and has attempted a comic entertainer.

However, his attempts at evoking laughter end up every time with the viewer getting irritated and tired, as the jokes fall flat. Posani troubles the viewers big time with his extreme facial expressions and dialogue delivery, all in the name of being comic, while Srinivasa Reddy never finds his comic timing throughout. The scenes post the soul swapping are supposed to be hilarious, but end up monotonous and boring. While the first half moves without any interesting scenes, and with songs acting speed breakers, the second half never finds the momentum even after soul swap, and with crass comedy, and poor editing ends up as a patience test. All said, Jamba Lakidi Pamba is one pathetic attempt that deserves a skip.
