It has been 8 years since the first Tamil spoof flick Thamizh Padam directed by CS Amudhan and starring Mirchi Shiva in the lead role released, and now, the hit combo has united for the second installment in the hilarious spoof franchise, with Shiva getting back to don the Khaki, in Thamizh Padam 2. While the numerous promotional posters and the teasers, videos parodying several notable blockbusters and cliches of Tamil cinema industry, had grabbed attention and have resulted in expectations on Tamizh Padam 2 skyrocketing, the movie was released worldwide today. Here's team AP Herald's first on net

Tamizh Padam 2 review. So the movie starts from where it ended 8 years back. Siva joins the Police Department after a long hiatus to avenge the death of his wife. He wanted to Kill 'P' who is an international Terrorist. Did he caught Mr.P and got back his revenge? Watch this 'FULL SPOOF COMEDY' to know!

Mirchi Shiva, who was last seen in a secondary yet humorous role in Kalakalappu 2 earlier this year, gets to play the iconic role Shiva, that earned him a fan base of his own, and here, in Tamizh Padam 2, Shiva typically does what he's best at - poker-faced comedy! As Shiva mouthes several one-liners. even the dumbest of them makes the audience burst out in laughter, and that's the highlight of his comic act. Shiva excels in entertaining right from the word go, and Sathish proves to be a perfect foil for Shiva, with his counters, and his multiple getups evoking laughter.

While the friends trio of Sundararajan - Manobala - Santhana Bharathi aren't as effective as the trio Venniradai Moorthy - MS Bhaskar - Manobala in the first installment, Shiva makes sure there's never a drag or a dull moment, as he keeps entertaining with his funny acts and trolling of almost all stars of the industry. Iswarya Menon plays the eye candy to perfection, while the rest of the cast including  Chetan, Kasthuri and Kalairani are adequate.

Music by N Kannan has already become a hit, with the Naan Yaarumilla number trolling the whole Tamil film industry ranging from Superstar to an upcoming star, topping them all, while of the rest of the songs,  En Nadanam and Chella Penney pass the muster.  Cinematography by Gopi Amarnath makes sure that while Shiva and Amudhan involve in a spoof of a particular movie sequence, the original milieu is perfectly recreated, and making Tamizh Padam 2 visually appealing. TS Suresh's editing is taut, and the movie, at a crisp runtime engages fairly.

CS Amudhan, who had earlier made the first Tamil spoof flick Tamizh Padam, and also the long-delayed Rendavathu Padam, has ventured with a safe venture, and his comfort zone of spoofing various flicks, and trolling the cliches and damaging the stereotypes existing in the industry, in his very own inimitable style.

The movie, like its predecessor, basically has the same plot of cop Shiva involved in various acts to destroy his villains, and this time is fighting Sathish. With memorable spoof of films like Vivegam,Thuppaki, Vikram Vedha, Saamy, Thevar Magan, Thupparivalan and many more hits of Tamil cinema, damaging the funny cliches of the industry, supported by Shiva perfectly timing the punchlines and acing the innocent faced comedy, and with a screenplay that engages, despite occasional drags courtesy the friends trio of Shiva, Thamizh Padam 2 is a perfect follow up to the 2010 hit, and is sure to be an entertaining experience that will make audience laugh their lungs out.

Shiva,Iswarya Menon,Sathish,Disha Pandey,C S Amudhan,S Sashikanth,KannanShiva and Amudhan deliver another laugh riot that is hilarious than the first installment!
