Young hero Naga shourya who had started the year with a comeback hit chalo costarring Rashmika Mandanna, had scored back to back flops with Kanam and Ammammagarillu and is now back  with Narthanasala. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Narthanasala review.

Naga shourya plays a fun loving guy who respects women, and when he helps Manasa (Kashmira Pardeshi) they fall in love saying that he's gay. But situations turn haywire when his father fixes his marriage with Satya (Yamini Bhaskar).  Whom did Naga shourya marry and whether he resolved his gay confusion is what Narthanasala is all about.
Naga shourya is perfect as the gay who tries hard to fit in the society and his body language and comic timing is good. Yamini Bhaskar emotes well and is apt while Kashmira Pardeshi is a mere eye candy and looks glamorous. The rest of the cast is adequate.
Sagar Mahati's background score is loud and jarring and his songs do not appeal at all. Vijay Kumar's Cinematography ensures Narthanasala is colourful, while tht editing by kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao could have been taut. Debutant Srinivas has taken an interesting premise of a gay comedy with Naga shourya impressing as a gay but the screenplay falls flat.

The movie moves at a very slow pace and the comedy is also crass and filled with gross double entendres. The second half also fails without interesting episodes and with uninspiring performances by the heroines Kashmira Pardeshi and Yamini Bhaskar, and poor music and editing, Narthanasala doesn't have anything to appeal to audience or keep them engaged.
