Nishith (Sumanth) is suffering from Insomnia and he is awake during nights. So he takes a night job as per suggestion from his doctor. But the job creates more tantrums as it brings the other side of him. In short, the movie is loosely based on a Jake Gyllenhaal's 'Night Crawler'. However, the director has taken more cinematic liberty and has added more masala to suit Telugu audience. But that has completely taken a diversion. Calm and composed Akkineni hero Sumanth was last seen weeks back in his supernatural thriller Subrahmanyapuram, and now he's back with his next, the action thriller Idam Jagath, which was supposed to release much before Subrahmanyapuram. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Idam Jagath review.

Sumanth, as usual, delivers a restrained performance, and as a man suffering from a sleep-related disorder that completely changes his personality, he offers stunning performance. However, Anju Kurien doesn't have much to do in the proceedings. Satya doesn't help the screenplay in any way, while Aditya is seen for the umpteenth time in a cliched role.

Sricharan Pakala's background score is loud and jarring and doesn't help the movie's cause while none of the songs cater to the audience. Cinematography by Bal Reddy captures the night sequences perfectly while editing by Garry could have been better as the movie is a drag fest.

Debutant Anil Sreekantham has got an interesting premise and an excellent actor in Sumanth to Carry forward the Movie, but despite having an exciting sleep disorder oriented character for the protagonist and his peculiar behavior, the director has made the movie a letdown. He has placed unwarranted episodes like a romantic track with Anju Kurien, and unwanted drag in second half and has left the audience puzzled in many blunt scenes. Besides the director has mostly ripped off Dan Gilroy directorial Nightcrawler and that's evident in most parts. With loud music and pathetic performances by support cast and a haphazard screenplay that drags big time, Idam Jagath is a , made spoof of Nightcrawler that doesn't deserve your time.
