After Thanos wreaked havoc in last year's Avengers Infinity War, the twenty-first movie of Marvel cinematic universe, Captain Marvel has released worldwide amidst great expectations. The movie set in 1995 follows Carol Denvers and how she becomes Captain Marvel. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Captain Marvel review.

Carol Denvers(Brie Larson) is a pilot, who discovers she has superpowers but is unable to control them and use them in the right way and she has been said that superintelligence had given her the powers. However, she gets to know her past and plans on using her powers in the right way and she encounters evils. Was Carol aka Captain Marvel able to overpower evil is what the movie is all about.

Brie Larson is impressive as Captain Marvel as she exhibits grace as well as excels in action episodes and is adequate as the superhero with a huge responsibility. Samuel  L Jackson is good and expresses perfectly, while Jude Law and Djimon Hounsou are aptly cast. The rest of the cast including Ben Mendelsohn, Lee Pace, and Gemma Chan are adequate.

Pinar Toprak's background score is scintillating and elevates a lot of superhero action episodes to a different level. Cinematography by Ben  Davis captures the stunning visual effects and live action moves with ease and they are coordinated well into the screenplay. Taut editing by Elliot Graham and Debbie Berman makes Captain Marvel a gripping experience.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck have made Captain Marvel with the understanding of the superhero she is, and have perfectly cast Brie Larson in the titular role. From the first half establishing her as a pilot and presenting events that slowly unravel her superpowers and her learning of them, to the second half where she makes use of the superpowers and channels them against evils to finally join Avengers, the transition is perfectly portrayed on screen. The screenplay is gripping presenting ample dosage of goosebumps moments and superhero elevation moments. With rich technical aspects and stunning visual effects powered by Brie Larson's engrossing act, Captain Marvel is another impressive visual treat from Marvel.
