What Is Good

  • Art Direction

What Is Bad

  • Writing
  • Editing
  • Music
  • Acting by lead actors
Bottom Line: Dorasani is skip worthy, and not the perfect debut that Anand Deverakonda and Shivathmika deserved

Story

With Vijay Deverakonda already becoming a sensational hero in Tollywood, he's now launching another talent from his family, his brother Anand Deverakonda, and another star kid Shivathmika, daughter of Doctor Rajasekhar makes her debut as well with Dorasaani. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Dorasaani review.

Star Performance

Anand Deverakonda being a debutant, looks nervous mostly and delivers a fumbling, middling performance with his terrified and mostly uncomfortable performance. Shivathmika plays perfect foil as she gets her expressions right in the mostly stereotypical role while in the rest of the cast, Kishore, Vinay Varma and Sharanya are just about adequate.

Techinical Team

Prashanth Vihari delivers a soothing background score and of his songs, Kallalo Kalavaramai, Ningilona Palapuntha are sure to stand the test of time. Sunny Kurapati's cinematography captures the period setup very well while editing by Navin Nooli should have been better.

Analysis

Debutant KVR Mahendra has selected a very conventional and beaten to death plot of the love story of a rich girl and a poor guy and placing their struggles in a period setup. However, he fails to make the screenplay interesting as the characters and their moves are very predictable and boring as you see these on screen for the umpteenth time. Besides the acting of the lead pair isn't good as well with unappealing chemistry and nervous acting exhibited throughout, making it a grueling experience. All said, despite good music by Prashanth Vihari and cinematography by Sunny Kurapati, Dorasaani ends as a cliched and predictable, tiresome movie.
