Kadaram Kondan Movie Review, Ratings

What Is Good

  • Cinematography
  • Crisp Running Time
  • BGM

What Is Bad

  • Vikram has less screen space
  • Wafer Thin Screenplay
  • Songs
  • Action scenes
Bottom Line: An average action entertainer from Vikram

After the disastrous results of sketch and Saamy square Chiyaan Vikram is back on screen with his next, Kadaram Kondan directed by Thoongavanam fame Rajesh M Selva. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Kadaram Kondan review.

The crooked double agent KK(Vikram) has to take the pregnant Aatirah (Akshara Haasan) as a hostage to make use of her husband (Abi Hasan) to escape from a situation. Now they both have to team up to escape from dirty Cops as well as gangsters. Was KK able to achieve it is what Kadaram Kondan is all about.

Star Performance

Chiyaan Vikram excels in action and with his fit and beefed up physique is very much a believable action hero making the stunts realistic. Akshara Haasan as the damsel in distress is adequate while Abi Hasan makes an impressive debut as the innocent guy framed in an unnecessary crime. Vikas looks apt and Lena and Jasmine are cast well.

Techinical Team

Ghibran's background score is pulsating while his songs don't impress. Srinivas R Gutha's Cinematography is top notch capturing the stunning locations and terrific action sequences perfectly. Praveen KL's editing could have chopped several episodes.

After Thoongavanam Rajesh M Selva has taken up another inspired movie, and has this time teamed up with Chiyaan Vikram. The movie begins interestingly and first half moves on leisurely pace and gains momentum at interval and second half goes pacy. However logical loopholes are aplenty and this movie doesn't require Vikram at all as he's more of a supporting character than Abi Hasan himself and despite this, shoulders the movie. Despite having a good technical team and some stunning action Kadaram kondan ends as an average outing due to mediocre script and predictable screenplay.
