After delivering several superhit movies as a hero, sensational young hero Vijay Deverakonda has turned a producer, with debutant Shameer Sultan directorial Meeku Maathrame Cheptha with a fresh team. Here's team AP Herald's exclusive first on net Meeku Maathrame Cheptha review.

Tharun Bhascker Dassyam and Vani Bhojan are to get married when all of a sudden he receives a private video involving his past. As Tharun, Abhinav and Naveen search as to who had sent the video enters Tharun's friend's sister Anasuya, and more confusions begin. At one end it is revealed Tharun was earlier in love with Avantika Mishra and here Vani Bhojan gets to know of the confusion and arguments happen between the lead pair. Tharun and friends are also blackmailed by an unknown person with the video. Were Tharun and friends able to resolve all issues and whether Tharun was able to marry successfully is what Meeku Maathrame Cheptha is all about.

Tharun Bhascker Dassyam proves his mettle as an actor and his expressions are perfect, conveying the emotions right. Anasuya gets a meaty role and performs well, while debutant Vani Bhojan is pretty and gets her expressions right. Abhinav Komadam and Naveen George Thomas are hilarious while Avantika Mishra and Pavani Gangireddy are aptly cast. The rest of the cast is adequate.

Background score by Sivakumar is in sync with the humorous proceedings of the movie, while of his songs, Chalu chalu is hum worthy. Mathan Gunadeva's cinematography is good while crisp editing by Sreejith Sarang makes the movie engaging.

Debutant Shameer Sultan has got a crazy combination for his cast, with director Tharun Bhascker debuting as a hero, and right from there the movie begins surprising. From the start, the movie is entertaining and the situations built as the screenplay proceeds are interesting and hilarious at the same time. Though there are occasional drags here and there, the overall humorous screenplay makes the movie engaging. Tharun Bhascker Dassyam, Vani, Abhinav, Anasuya and almost everyone are perfectly cast giving neat performances, and supported by a good technical team, debutant director Shameer Sultan and debutant producer Vijay Deverakonda have a safe winner in hands.
