L. R. Karthikeyan, Jaspreet Jasz , Sunitha, Devi Sri Prasad       Devi Sri Prasad 50th film in this career is ‘Damarukum’, this is a socio fantasy movie which stars Nagarjuna and Anushka Shetty. This film music is released on September 10, 2012 at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad and film is scheduled to release on 12th October, 2012. Damarukum movie has ten songs in total with five devotional songs, three and one item song. Jonnavittula has inked four songs, Ramajogayya Sastry has inked two songs and Chandrabose, Bhaskarabhatla, Sahithi, Karunakar & Jonnavittula has inked one song each in this album. DSP has used thirteen singers for this album. First Song: Omkaram This song is sung by Venkat Sai and inked by Jonnavittula. It is one minute bit devotional song which briefs different names of Lord Shiva. Both the lyrics and voice for the tune has complemented each other decently. Second Song: Aruna Dhavala This song is sung by Karthik and inked by Jonnavittula. One more devotional song in the album but this song wills sound unique bcoz of Karthik voice attached to the tune. Even the lyrics have provided the needed crisp to the song.  Third Song: Nesthama Nesthama  This song is sung by Srikrishna & Hariniand and inked by Bhaskarabhatla. It’s a nice melody song and the guitar string by DSP gave a special touch to his tune. Both the male and female singers have done awesome job to the lyrics of Bhaskarabhatla.  Fourth Song: Reppalapai This song is sung by Hariharan & Chitra and inked by Ramajogayya Sastry. This song sounds interesting with the combination of Hariharan & Chitra but fails to impress. Lyrics also did not help this experienced singers save the song.  Fifth Song: Dheemtana This song is sung by Shankar Mahadevan and inked by Karunakar. This is more of a Shiva mantra then a song. Shankar Mahadevan voice has made it listen and lyricist has put a good effort in this song.  Sixth Song: Sakku Bai Garam Chai This song is sung by Suchith Suresan, & Mamta Sharma and inked by Ramajogayya Sastry. This is an item song which will attract you only after listening it for third or fourth time. Mamta Sharma voice made the interesting lyrics sunk into waste and even his male partner support is week in this song.  Seventh Song: Laali This song is sung by Gopika Purnima and inked by Chandrabose. Voice of Gopika looks apt for the tune composed by DSP. This song can be used bed time song not only for babies but also for adults. Surely one of the good song in this album and lyricist Chandrabose deserves special appreciation.  Eighth Song: Bhoona Bhontaalake  This song is sung by MLR Karthikeyan and inked by Jonnavittula. Song starts with Jai Jai Shankar and damru instrument is used to maximum extent. This song is one more Shiva’s devotional song in the album.  Ninth Song: Kanyakumari This song is sung by Jaspreet, & Sunitha and inked by Sahithi. Sunitha has over shadowed Jaspreet with her sweet and sooth voice. This song has a mix of lot of western instruments put together but at the end you will keep listening to it bcoz of Sunitha and decent lyrics by Sahithi.  Tenth Song: Shiva Shiva Shankara This song is sung by Shankar Mahadevan and inked by Jonnavittula. This song stands as the best of the DSP compositions till date. Shankar Mahadevan has brought sole in to this song with his voice and even the powerful lyrics leaves a strong impact on music lovers.  Analysis The entire album is a mix of regular DSP audio style but the overdose of devotional songs does not match with the present type of movie trends. It’s not like a must buy DSP music album on the first day of its audio release for your music rack
