Shiva Thandavam Review: Story
Film starts in London with people greeting each other happy New Year and suddenly a huge bomb blast tales place. In the next scenes Kenny [Vikram] kills a person at night & in the morning you will see him playing piano in local church and notice that he is blind. Then you will see Sarah [Amy Jackson] who has just won Miss London & working to win Miss England, in this process she meets Kenny and fall in love with him. Mean while Kenny keeps killing people as part of his revenge, with the help of a mystery women and recollecting his past life before he was blind. What is Kelly’s flashback? Who is this mystery girl? How he become blind? Why & on whom he is taking revenge? Has to be seen on the silver screen.
Shiva Thandavam Review : Star Performances
Vikram performance as a blind person is top notch, his character has less dialogues but he steals the show with his expressions. He has taken the entire film on his shoulder and he has done not just 100 % but 1000 % justice to his role.
Anuskha even with few scenes looked very beautiful on screen and even gave good performance as usual. Amy Jackson role was short & sweet but she fails to make mark on audiences. Lakshmi Rai narrates the story of the film but has few scenes, which you will forgot in few minutes.
Jagapati Babu role as antagonist was not impressive at any extent. Nasser as intelligent officer, Santhanam as taxi driver and Saranya as Vikram’s mother have put a decent show.
Shiva Thandavam Review : Direction, Music & Technical Aspects
Director of this film A.L.Vijay has screwed the entire film with his predictable story, unimpressive screenplay and disappointing directional skills. He crashed Vikram’s dream of hitting a success in Tollywood.
Nirav cinematography work is the only good part in the technical side of this film. Music composed by G.V.Prakash is not up to the mark of his potential and Anthony could do much better job in the editing area of this flick.
Shiva Thandavam Review : Analysis
First half of the film starts with the introduction of important characters including Vikram, Nasser, Amy Jackson and Santhanam. Vikram using the echolocation method in killing people being blind is good. Songs in first half are horrible to listen even though they played for two minutes. Anuskha and Vikram getting married in village brings through arranged marriage likes little ok from all boring scenes that come till then.
Interval bang is given with London police knowing Vikram is the man behind series of murders happening in the city. Second half begins with the continuation of flashback where the leads go back to Delhi and carry on with their routine life. Boredom reaches to peeks starting from here till the end card is posted on the screen.
