Kathir (Kathir) is a jobless jack and a easy-going youngster who is married to his niece, Anitha (Reshmi Menon). The couple hails from North Madras and has a child. But even after having a child he often prefers to be with his friends and roams around aimlessly with neighbour Prabhakar (Charlie), whom he considers as a brother. He never has any motive or aim. He's just pointless. In an unexpected turn, Kathir came to know about Prabhakar’s job. He is an informer to cops and in an unexpected turn of events he too becomes one. With his brilliance and enthusiasm, Kathir earns the trust of the area inspector Sownthirapandian (David). At one stage, Kathir gets into a brawl at a local bar and being an informer he provides information about the happenings. Sownthirapandian raid the bar and walks away with Rs 25 lakhs. The bar comes under the jurisdiction of local Inspector Marimuthu (Madhiarasu). From that point the cat and mouse game starts and Kathir starts to run for his life. What happens was revealed in a climax twist.

Kathir has came a long way from 'Mathayaanai Kootam'. He has done role of a carefree youngster well. But during action scenes and tensed moments he doesn't act so freely. A tailor-made role for actor Charlie. The actor who was seen as conductor in 'Papanasam' has got meaty role and he proves his versatility. David and Marimuthu, who comes as two egoistic cops have given commendable performance while Yogi Babu has provided a good comic relief. Reshmi Menon is beautiful. She doesn't have much to do and she never fits into shoes of a mother. She is the only negative thing.

Arul Vincent's cinematography deserves special applause. He makes our heart race fast just like the screenplay. His camera and lightings during night portions were commendable. 'K' proves his worth after 'Mugamoodi'. His background score is the backbone. You will understand that while watching the movie. Take a bow debutante Anu Charan for exploring such a plot and showing how the people who have power show it on the helpless people. Also the screenplay makes everyone glued to the seats. A promising debut for Anucharan.

The movie is a 'Must-Watch'. But we have to wait a while to know the pulse of Audience. The climax might not work with everyone. The unexpected climax is sure to go either positive or might play spoilsport. The movie is commendable on technical wise too.
