Mahesh Babu is one of the leading Telugu actor and he is also the front runner where most of them take his movies and remake those in their respective languages. Especially Vijay has a habit of remaking his movies. Let's see few of his movies which are remade in other languages
Murari (2001)
The movie was a Super natural thriller which was written and directed by Krishna Vamsi. Mahesh Babu did lead role and Sonali Bendre paired against him. This movie also marked the last on screen appearance of veteran Telugu actor Dhulipala Seetarama Sastry. The movie was Mahesh Babu's first dubbed release in Tamil. The movie even bagged three Nandi awards. This movie was remade in Kannada language as 'Gopi'.
2. Okkadu (2003)
One of the cult classics from Mahesh. Boomika chawla did female lead. The movie was a sensational hit that time. The movie even fetched Filmfare Award for Best actor. The movie was remade in Tamil as 'Ghilli', Bengali as 'Jor', Kannada as 'Ajay' and Hindi as 'Tevar'. However the Tamil version also succeeded in the remake. The rest failed miserably.
3. Athadu (2005)
Once again a movie which fetched a good name for Mahesh Babu. He once again grabbed Nandi Award and it was later remade in Hindi as 'Ek : The Power of One'.
4. Pokkiri
After 'Okkadu' another unanimous hit for Mahesh Babu. The movie was remade by Salman Khan in Hindi as 'Wanted' and by Vijay in Tamil as 'Pokkiri'. Interestingly both the versions was directed by Prabhu Deva.
