Whenever it comes to love, it is mostly hero meets heroine and it is Love at first sight and finally it ends up as happily ever after or the makers never show what happens after the love succeeds. Most of them are being shown as 'Template relationships'. But as cinema is an entertainment medium, even we don't bother much about these. Let's see some of the movies, which has shown the relationshps beautifully.

Mudhal Mariyaadhai (1985)

Bharathi Raja directed the movie and the movie had an intense storyline. This movie is a cult classic for Sivaji Ganesan. Sivaji gets married with Vadivukarasi who often whines at him. The marriage was unsuccessful for Sivaji and he seeks solace with a village boatman's daughter. The relationship between them was portrayed in a subtle way. The relationship was platonic and it was well shown.

Mouna Ragam (1986)

Alaipayuthey (2000)

A romantic drama from Maniratnam once again. This movie was still cherished by many persons. This movie showed the love and the aftermath of the love too. This was widely praised for its clear portrayal on romance and marriage. The dialogues itself depicts each scene of marriage life. The non-linear narration was even more beautiful.
