Jai's upcoming movie has been titled as 'Pugazh' and 'Velai Illa Pattathaari' fame Surabhi pairs opposite Jai in this movie. 'Vadacurry' fame Vivek-Merwin has scored music for this movie. Audio of the movie is already receiving positive vibes. The movie is directed by 'Udhayam NH4' fame ManiMaran.
It is produced by Sushant Prasad of Film Department and will be distributed by Varun Manian's Radiance Media. The Audio and trailer was released under Sony Music Label. Famous lyric writer Poet Piraisoodan is doing a crucial role in this project. The movie also features Karunas, RJ Balaji and Rajani as part of the cast.
'Velai Illa Pattathaari' director Velraj cranks the camera and GB Venkatesh provides the cuts. The movie was initially titled as 'Podiyan' and later title was changed as 'Pugazh'. Now regarding the movie director Manimaran says, "The story is based on 'Vaalajabad' nead vellore. That is my native place too. A playground is near that place.
That ground is one of the attractions for the youngsters and people around it. Politicians try to abduct that ground. How Jai and his friends save the ground forms the crux of the story. The screenplay was made from real life incidents. Director Marimuthu has done role of politician and Karunas will be seen as a counselor."
