The legendary actor, Kamal Haasan, on his 61st birthday shared deeply on his views about various issues like atheism, the raising intolerance in our country and the subsequent issue of returning awards, and also about entering politics.


Kamal Haasan added that he was one among the people who gives equal importance to death and birth as a part of life. Hence, he celebrates his birthday and his father’s death day on the same day. On talking about politics, the actor said that the ideas revealed through politics will create an implicit meaning and he never learnt a lesson of rationalism through politics.


Regarding the pertaining issue of national intolerance, he advised the people to be tolerant and not to inflict their religious belief on others. Finally he confessed that he is not an atheist but a rationalist, who views everything from an intellectual perspective of reasoning.


His upcoming film, Thoongaa Vanam is to be released on November 10 alongside of Ajith’s Vedhalam, adding a delight to the Diwali season.
