The month of January will once again be in festive mood. Pongal celebrations will begin and there will be around 7 movies ready for a release. But so far four movies have just got a confirmation. Let's see them.
- Thaarai Thappatai
Director Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar are doing lead roles in this movie. Reputed director Bala who was last seen with 'Paradesi' is back after nearly two years. The venture is based on the traditional 'Karagaatam' dance. Ilayaraja has scored music and it is his 1000th movie. The movie is expected to be a rural entertainer.
2. Kathakali
'Kathakali' brings the duo of Vishal and Pandiraj together. This is Vishal's first movie after becoming he General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam. Catherine Tresa is doing female lead. This is the first time Catherine Tresa pairs opposite him. Pandiraj has said he has made the movie as a commercial entertainer.
3. Miruthan
Jayam Ravi tasted more success with the movie 'Thani Oruvan'. Now he is back with 'Miruthan'. This is first Zombie Apocalypse film in Tamil. Imman provides music. The shooting will be wrapped up soon. Music is expected to be released by mid december.
4. Aranmanai 2
Sundar.C is back after 'Aambala'. The movie features stellar cast of actors like Siddharth, Trisha, Hansika, Poonam Bajwa, Soori, Manobala are part of the cast. Hiphip Tamizha scores tunes. Shooting has been wrapped up and post-production works are happening right now.
