Heavy rain battered Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu for past few days. The whole city finally woke up to clear blue skies on Tuesday. The incessant downpour affected normal day to day life style. The entire city is water-logged and the capital is still suffering.
As per sources this is the highest rainfall in last 10 years recording 247.5mm rainfall. The unexpected downpour caused more trouble . Now to provide food and basic shelter, celebrities have stepped forward.
Arulnidhi provided food to those who were affected by rains. Similarly Santhanam gave food packets and 50 ton rice bag to Cuddalore victims who were affected by floods. Vishal also did the same good deed. Apart from them, fans of Ajith , Rajini and Kamal also started relief shelters in every corner of the city.
However Public personally feels the corporation is lukewarm and water logs has never been removed. They also complained that prices of the basic needs were hiked peaks. But Government never took any step in order to stop it.
